Bishop Martin D. Alexander proudly serves as the Founder and Chief Operating Officer of New Light Christian Fellowship in Clarksville, Tennessee. Bishop Alexander accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in July 1977 at the age of 13 while attending New Salem Christian Fellowship in Luxora under the leadership of Pastor Johnny L. Williams. Originally from West Memphis, Arkansas, Bishop Alexander ultimately made his way to Clarksville by way of the United States Army, where he honorably served for 15 years and earned, at the highest level, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, among many others.

Operating In The Spirit of Excellence

Bishop Alexander has been married to Cheryl Denise Alexander (Wright) since April 1986, and they have nine lovely children, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Bishop Alexander acknowledged his call to the Gospel Ministry in 2000 in Clarksville, Tennessee and was licensed to preach in February 2001. He has served in many areas of the church, such as the youth ministry, men’s ministry, and marriage ministry, to name a few.

In October 2009, New Light Christian Fellowship was united and licensed under the seal of Faith Mission Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Harold K Browning, Sr. In August 2011 Pastor Alexander was elevated to the office of overseer in the Global Network of Christian Churches by Bishop Harold K Browning, Sr. In August 2013, Bishop Alexander was consecrated into the office of Bishop to oversee the GNCC fellowship, Church Planting, Outreach and Evangelism. Bishop Alexander is all about souls, not just reaching in, but also reaching out.

Bishop is certified and has been trained in the areas of church planting and administration, and has earned an associate degree and bachelors of science degree in Business Administration and Management from Austin Peay State University.
